This showcase of spoken word poems was composed using memory theater techniques. The visionary pieces move among places like Wisconsin, Missouri, Ireland, Greenland, and include jokes, jazz lyrics, social commentary, philosophy, visual art, science, and storytelling.
Mike Barrett, a founding member of the Chicago Poetry Ensemble in 1985, helped establish the original Poetry Slam, and spark the spoken word revolution. He has written 13 books of poetry, performed spoken word in venues around the world, and has won numerous awards for his poetry and teaching.
